Scanners for road warriors
The road warrior is often confronted with leaving gear at home in order to keep the gear bag as light as possible. It can be a struggle to bring some gadgets along because they are too big and heavy to lug around on trips. Fujitsu understands that dilemma and has released a portable scanner that can come along for the ride with minimal fuss. The ScanSnap S1300 is not the first scanner to shrink in size but it may be the most versatile of all portable scanners that came before

Fabrico Helps Dove Data Improve Printer Cartridge Assembly
Fabrico recently helped Dove Data Products enhance the performance of its "Z-blade" cartridge assembly. Dove Data remanufactures and supplies laser toner cartridges, ribbons, and ink jet cartridges for computer printers. Z-blade assemblies (blade and seal) wipe and seal the toner within the cartridge. Working with Dove Data, Fabrico engineers tested several prototypes, increasing the rigidity of the assembly and the bonding strength of the adhesive. Using its extensive supplier network, Fabrico was able to source less expensive, better quality materials at a thickness that enhanced the overall quality and performance of the assembly. The Z-blade is made from special Mylar material. The seal is made from special open cell foam that can handle 10-20,000 rotations. Fabrico is now providing Dove Data Products with Z-blade assemblies that perform better and last longer without premature failures.
